Stray Dog Cantina - a popular spot for Mexican/American dishes and a full bar.
The Bavarian Lodge & Restaurant - on the East side of the slopes, this place has a comfy vibe and lots of good beer.
Hotel St. Bernard (in Taos Pueblo)- a hotel/bar/restaurant/live music hot spot.

Nothing would be worse than getting into Taos, NM for a killer ski vacay, only to find out you forgot your gear (or undies)! Unfortunately, this kind of thing happens all the time. Do yourself a favor and download our free ski vacation packing list...seriously (you can thank us later).
Taos Ski Valley is unique in that, since the early 1950's, it remains solely operated by the founders' children and grandchildren -- no other resort can claim such a legacy. Since then, it's come a long way from a single ski run mountain (that run is now called Snakedance).
Unlike many other ski resorts, Taos Ski Valley was not engineered for the masses. In fact, it seems to be tailored for quite the opposite experience, focusing on skiing above all other amenities. This provides a truly authentic experience for those seeking a pure skiing and boarding vacation coupled with a friendly, small town atmosphere.
That's not so say this Taos ski resort doesn't have a few restaurants and bars to entertain your weary legs, it has several. And access to the eclectic town of Taos is close enough to expand upon your lodging, dining, shopping and nightlife options.
At the end of the day, Taos Ski Valley is a destination for snow purists...and they make no bones about keeping it that way.
