Trip Protection Plus With Cancel For Any Reason

Includes everything in Trip Protection Plus and the benefits provided by the Cancel For Any Reason coverage.

Cancel For Any Reason allows you to cancel your covered trip for reasons not otherwise covered by the policy and receive reimbursement of 75% of your prepaid, non-refundable trip cost (as insured under the policy), up to $20,000.

To be eligible for this benefit:

• You must insure 100% of your prepaid, non-refundable trip cost. If you add trip costs after purchasing this coverage, you must insure the additional costs within 24 hours to remain eligible for CFAR.
• Coverage must be purchased before (or concurrently) with your final trip payment
• You must cancel your trip at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure date

How the 48-hour deadline works:

Important: You must cancel your trip at least 48 hours before your departure. Departure means when you leave to begin your trip, which may be earlier than your reservation, check-in, or scheduled arrival date.

Cancel For Any Reason covers your decision not to take your trip, so it must be used before your trip begins.

If you cancel less than 48 hours before you depart for your reservation or check-in, or after your trip has begun, Cancel For Any Reason does not apply.

Note: If you’re traveling by boat, a mechanical breakdown of your vessel does not extend the Cancel For Any Reason deadline. If your vessel experiences a mechanical problem less than 48 hours before you depart for check-in or your reservation, or after your trip has begun, the trip is not eligible for reimbursement under Cancel For Any Reason. Mechanical breakdown of your vessel is also not a covered reason under the plan’s other trip cancellation benefits.
